Review: RuRoc LITE Liquid Black Helmet

After years of relying on the same beat-up helmet I’ve had since sixth grade, I realized I was due for an upgrade. So, in preparation for my first full snowboard season, I picked up the Ruroc LITE Liquid Black helmet. Slipping it on felt like taking a long-awaited step towards modernity. It's the perfect combination of comfort and safety, allowing me to hit the ground with piece of mind. The ABS hardshell and EPS crush cells give it a solid, secure feel, and the adjustable fit system and split comfort liner make it far more comfortable than anything I’ve worn before. When my fingers are frozen, I no longer have to struggle to unbuckle with the Fidlock magnetic buckle. Depending on how I'm feeling, I can also remove the ear pads to add versatility, and the fact that the helmet is ASTM F2040-18 certified eases my fear of beginner wipeouts. Available at ruroc.com; $119.
