Lend a Hand to the Land
Around Montana, the season of giving doesn’t quite line up with the holidays. Instead, it kicks into full swing when the weather warms up. And we’re not talking about gifts wrapped with a bow, but rather the countless opportunities to get outside and lend a hand to the nonprofits working hard to keep our outdoor spaces in top shape all season long. From recurring weekly trail days and river cleanups to larger, can’t-miss annual events, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved. That said, it can be tough to keep track of what’s happening when, and which cleanups to circle on the calendar.
Consider this your one-stop-shop for outdoor volunteering this season. Scan your schedule, find a day that works, and pick your project—whether it’s digging trail, picking up litter, or maintaining access sites. There’s plenty to be done, so get after it!
