Join nearly everyone in Bozeman on April 8 for the 5th Annual Montana Beer Festival at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. This event brings live music, delicious food, and hundreds of gallons of beer together in one venue—what could be better? Tickets are $35 and include unlimited pours from dozens of microbrews across America. Visit mtbeerfest.com for an updated list of brews and bands.
For a guaranteed good time, take a drive to Big Sky on April 23 for the famous Pond Skim. Watch costumed competitors attempting to ski across an icy pond at the bottom of the Ambush run. If you’re crazy enough to participate, bring $20 to the clock tower between 11-1pm. The fun starts at 4pm and music follows in the plaza afterward.
On April 17, the Telluride Mountainfilm Tour comes to the Emerson. Check out this independent documentary film festival featuring inspiring and groundbreaking movies. As an added bonus, all proceeds support trail work and restoration efforts in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Visit bmwf.org for more info.
Bozeman hosts the Special Olympics State Summer Games May 10-13. This event brings the community together to cheer on our state’s athletes competing in over a dozen different events. Visit somt.org for scheduling and info on how to volunteer.
Head over to Big Timber and spend Memorial Day at the Crazy Mountain Museum Festival. Activities include music, entertainment, exhibits, silent auctions, fresh Montana beef, and the opportunity to view new displays at the museum.
