Peak Skis offers people a chance to ski with some of skiing's biggest names.

On a recent day at Big Sky Resort, seven skiers got the chance to ski with a legend. These lucky few, winners of the Ski with a Peak Pro sweepstakes, spent the day with Bode Miller, the winningest male downhill skier in United States history, for a tour of the mountain and an après at the old Moonlight Lodge.

Each participant was outfitted with Peak demo skis by Black Tie Ski Rentals, and throughout the day Bode offered tips, insight, and adjustments to maximize their skis’ responsiveness and performance. As Peak's co-founder, he knows each model intimately, and his commentary demonstrated the potential of the skis he helped design. But that was obvious just watching him ski.

Bode led the group at a pace everyone could keep up with, but occasionally he’d gather a head of steam and drop into a deep, nose-to-the-ground carve that gave him away as one of the greatest competition skiers of the 21st century. He hasn’t raced in eight years, but he still skis every day and says there’s one piece of advice that’s more important than any other to become a better skier: “You should be smiling more.”

And on that day, charging the slopes with one of the best to ever do it, everyone was.
