Review: Garmin Delta Upland

Training your hunting dog requires patience, consistency, and good tools. One of the best tools I’ve found is the Delta Upland electronic collar from Garmin. With a multitude of stimulation settings, from simple tones and vibration to continuous correction (maximum eight seconds), you’re able to find the right combination for your dog. The collar also doubles as a bark limiter, which my neighbors appreciate. Moving from basic training commands in the yard to running in the field is simple, and with a 3/4-mile range, the collar works for all breeds. The Delta Upland also comes with a beeper device, so you can track your dog in deep grass and cover, and know when he goes on point. Both the beeper and the stimulation device can be controlled by the handheld transmitter. Waterproof and durable, with long-lasting rechargeable batteries, the Delta Upland is a great training and hunting tool. Now if I only could buy patience and consistency. $300; garmin.com.
