Review: Patagonia Nano Puff Hoody
We all know how quickly the weather can turn in Southwest Montana—but carrying extra layers "just in case" isn't always ideal when you're trying to keep your pack light. That's where the Nano Puff Hoody from Patagonia comes in. Originally designed with climbers in mind, this puff is ultralight, packable, and ready to take you from chilly to comfortable with a quick zip. I especially appreciate the range of motion the Nano Puff offers—as I struggle to find a women's jacket that fits comfortably across my shoulders. The cozy hood works great to block unwelcome breezes, while the water-repellent finish sheds light moisture if needed. The jacket also packs neatly into its own chest pocket, doubling as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in-loop—a thoughtful detail that proves Patagonia considers every detail. I'm not much of a climber, but I'll be reaching for the Nano Puff as my winter mid-layer, spring dog walking jacket, and summer camping go-to from now on.
