Review: Ibex Glove Liner

Good liners can make or break a cold day outside, and with its warm merino wool and snug fit, the Ibex Glove Liner has made several of mine. The touchscreen-friendly thumb and index finger allowed me to manipulate my GPS on late-season excursions, while protecting my digits from the cold winter wind. On frigid days at the ski hill, these liners slipped inside my gloves and staved off the bitter pain of long chairlift rides. They also work as standalone gloves when the weather's cool but not cold. The only caveat is the thickness—while certainly not bulky, they're bigger than my usual paper-thin liners, which means they can't be worn under tight-fitting gloves. Keep these suckers on-hand for cold days on the chairlift, skintrack, or Nordic trail, to help make the outing more pleasant and comfortable. $50; ibex.com.
