Review: FORLOH Airalite

American-made, Montana-designed, and mountain-tested, the FORLOH Airalite Rain Jacket should live in your pack, from summer scouting 'til the snow flies in November. Windproof, comfortable, and quieter than many rain shells, the Airalite is both lightweight and durable. It's got all the usual features of a high-quality coat—taped seams, waterproof zippers, adjustable wrist cuffs, hood tensioner, pit-zips—plus elongated wrist hoods and a ventilation pocket in the back, to prevent overheating on long, steep hikes or bike rides. It packs down small but offers oversized protection when the thunderheads roll in, making it a great river jacket, as well. Given the range of colors and camo patterns, you might just find an Airalite for spring and summer fishing, too. $199; forloh.com.
