Book: Sherlock Holmes

John S. Fitzpatrick’s playful book Sherlock Holmes: The Montana Chronicles (Riverbend Publishing, $13) relates the crime-solving adventures during Holmes’ little-known trip to Montana in the late 1800s. Although skeptical at first (I'm a big fan of the standard Holmes & Watson chronicles in England), I was immediately drawn into the story. The book is an entertaining read, full of real-life Montana mysteries recast and solved by one of literature’s most famous detectives.
