Review: Wiley X Sunglasses
The shooting range is where Wiley X first made an impression on me—the comfortable, lightweight, crystal-clear glasses protected my eyes without fogging up, improving my aim on long days under the hot sun. Years later, they now impress me on the river, too, where the same virtues apply, but the polarized lenses offer excellent vision through the glare. The WX Sierra, for example, is so light and fits so well, were it not for the dark lenses, I'd forget they were on my head. On the trail, they hold tight whether I'm running or biking—or falling, which I seem to do more often these days. On sunglasses, little touches make all the difference, and the WX Sierra's are key: ventilation windows in the upper corners, tacky rubber for the nose and ears, and impact resistance for those inevitable collisions with pebbles and tree branches. Well done, Wiley X. $206; wileyx.com.
