Review: Pearl iZumi Summit Glove

If you’re looking for lightweight protection on the singletrack this summer, the Summit Glove by Pearl iZumi is a good option. It’s relatively breathable and the polyester-and-rubber construction keeps bulk down but utility high. The silicone-coated fingertips make for confident breaking, while the palms are reinforced and sturdy in case of a fall. I generally prefer my gloves to have a little more meat for scuffles with brush, but the Summit makes up for this by being ultra-comfy, and the neoprene-reinforced knuckles will protect you from all but the worst tumbles. $35; pearlizumi.com
