Review: Vasque M-Possible SS
At first, I thought I was going to lose a foot due to lack of blood flow, but then I remembered new mountaineering boots are supposed to feel cramped. So once I got used to The M-Possible SS, I realized these boots could seriously kick a door down. Not only can you torque the laces down unbelievably tight across the upper part of the foot and ankle, but they also have one of the strongest Vibram soles I’ve ever worn, and Vasque’s Superfabric resists just about any kind of torture you can put it through. I climbed several ice routes in Hyalite and have come to the conclusion that the M-Possible SS is a perfect alpine boot for anyone who plans on putting a beating on their kicks. Available at Schnee’s, Northern Lights, and Gallatin Alpine Sports. $325; vasque.com.
