Review: Sorel Joan of Arctic
The Joan of Arctic Boot by Sorel is a modern twist on the classic boot we’ve all come to trust from the first name in winter footwear. There’s nothing special about these boots—beyond the fact that they’re going to last for 20 years if properly maintained and they’re going to keep your feet dry and warm, guaranteed. The Joans have a fully waterproof suede upper and a faux-fur snow cuff, and the Taffy color combo is killer—I intend to wear these well into the spring, in spite of the strange looks I’m sure to get… just call me a martyr. These boots, along with most other Sorels, run big, so size down. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 (I know, I’m a goliath), but I got these in a 10 and they’re still a little long. Available at Schnee's. $150; sorel.com.
