Review: Sitka Kelvin Lite
Maintaining the perfect body temperature while hunting is no easy chore. From glassing on early mornings to stalking through impromptu snowstorms, having a reliable mid-layer is crucial. The Kelvin Lite Down Jacket from Sitka is my new go-to. The Kelvin Lite is equipped with 900-fill down, but is only 17 ounces, which makes for an insulated feel without becoming overwhelmed by the power of down. The material is durable, too. I have no problem with laying on sticks or pine needles for extended periods of time. It fits snug on my torso and packs down for storage—I can fit the entire jacket inside of a zippered hand pocket.
Available at Schnee’s, Bob Ward’s, Kenetrek, and the Sitka Depot; $350.
