Book: Earth, My Dearest
A good quotation book is a treasure chest for the mind, full of precious jewels that sparkle and shine, setting the mind afire. Earth, My Dearest (Hatherleigh Press, $12.50) may contain a few tinhorn trinkets—it reminds me of those compilation websites that intermingle profound wisdom from history’s greatest minds with smug celebrity banalities—but there are enough priceless gems to outshine them. Besides, this book has an agenda: to inspire you to be a better steward of the Earth. And however pedestrian their verbiage, however facile their expression, celebrities tend to impress and influence the youth—who, of course, are the future.
