Bozo
In the distance, the mountains rise high
Snow-covered peaks snuggle a clear blue sky.
And in the valley, people are all around
Watching progress consume their little town.
Once where ranches, fields, and pastures grew
There are now malls and homes all new.
But this is only a cost for a modern society,
We must pay for this booming economy.
Everyone works hard; contributes every day,
To develop the environment and rid us of hay.
Is it our God-given right to grow and prosper?
To destroy natural beauty for wealth to foster?
These are some things that I regularly ponder,
While I gaze at the open country over yonder.
And often, time has again sped in a blaze
As I realize over yonder is the second phase!
