Big Sky, Big Sound: Bozeman
Check out the music coming to Bozeman, some right around the corner and some a little further down the line:
Music on Main
Thursdays — 6:00pm - 8:00 — July 2nd to August 6th
Downtown Bozeman
Now in its 26th year, Music on Main takes over downtown Bozeman every Thursday evening from July 2 through August 6, running from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. It's free, it's open to everyone, and it's about as Bozeman as it gets — live bands, food vendors, kids activities, and Main Street closed off to cars for a few good hours each week
A River Runs Through It
September 18–20 & September 24–27
The Ellen Theatre
Opera Montana will present the World Premiere of A River Runs Through It in September 2026, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Norman Maclean’s now-classic novella. The story follows two brothers in early 20th century Montana as they grow up—and grow apart—against a backdrop of family, faith, and fishing. A River Runs Through It is commissioned by Opera Montana with generous support from Carol Glenn & Sal Lalani, Drs. Dennis & Anne Wentz, and Ron Lerner, in loving memory of Jane Lerner.
Based on the novel by Norman Maclean, by kind permission of The University of Chicago Press, Jean Maclean Snyder and John N. Maclean.

Big Sky County Fair
July 15–19
Gallatin County Fairgrounds
Five days of fair food, carnival rides, livestock, and live entertainment, including nationally recognized acts on the main stage in the evenings, with this year's headlining act being Stone Temple Pilots. A true summer staple that brings the whole community together under one roof.
Sweet Pea
August 7–9
Lindley Park
Founded in 1978 and held each August in historic Lindley Park, Sweet Pea is a three-day celebration of live music, dance, theatre, visual arts, children's activities, and local food. The 2026 festival runs August 7–9 and features a lineup that includes Digable Planets, The Strumbellas, John Craigie, The Nude Party, and more. One of Bozeman's most beloved summer traditions, and one worth planning your calendar around.
