Southside Celebration
When the spring sun blazes overhead, the glorious trails of the Bridgers and Gallatin Range beckon. But what about our own back yard? As any kid knows, there’s plenty of fun to be had right here at home—which is why Southside Saturdays is back for another season of in-town exploration. Hike, run, or ride the Main Street to the Mountains trail system on the south side of town, in support of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT), the organization responsible for the creation and maintenance of these great trails.
Here’s how it works: every Saturday in May, fuel up beforehand at Sola Café on the corner of Kagy and S. 3rd, and they’ll donate a dollar from each breakfast purchase to GVLT. Take a photo with the spring issue of Outside Bozeman while on the trail, and we’ll donate a dollar to GVLT. That’s two bucks toward our local trails and open-space efforts, all for getting out and having some fun on Bozeman’s south side. Event details and a photo-submission form can be found at outsidebozeman.com/community/contests. Now get outside, and hike, run, or ride the south side!
