Powder Blast
The beauty of a fundraiser is that when you come across a good one, it becomes the reliably fun and much-anticipated party of your year. For anyone who lives in Bozeman, this date is soon approaching, as the Friends of the Avalanche Center will be holding its ninth annual Powder Blast fundraiser on October 26 at the Emerson Cultural Center.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” says Doug Chabot, one of the event’s organizers. Beginning at 6:30 pm, come with your friends, bring a date, and immerse yourself among a group of enthusiastic outdoors people like yourself while supporting an organization that is so vital to the safety of your backcountry endeavors. The night includes dinner, beer, and music, followed by a silent auction where you’ll have the chance to outbid your friends for some much-coveted gear. Tickets for the fundraiser are only $25 per person and can be purchased at Northern Lights, Barrel Mountaineering, and Team Bozeman. For further information, visit mtavalanche.com.
