Review: Altra Olympus 6
These days, trail runners feel overly minimal—narrow, flat, and lacking bounce. I understand lots of folks prefer a low-profile shoe on the trail. But when I'm running or hiking over rocky terrain, I need more cushion and toe room than what standard trail shoes provide. In times like these, I turn to the Altra Olympus 6.
The cushioning of the Olympus makes me feel like I'm running on clouds. The Vibram sole is rugged and built to last, offering excellent traction and durability in any condition. One small detail I really appreciate is the Achilles pillow—it makes slipping the shoe on easier, and unlike other padded heels I've tried, it doesn’t cause blisters. Just comfort, right out of the box.
