Review: Crazy Creek PowerLounger

Between tents, mattress pads, campfire chairs, and the heap of other gear needed for a camping trip, packing for a weekend in the mountains can be a real car-full. For years, Crazy Creeks have provided a compact, cushioned solution, and the Hex 2.0 PowerLounger is even more of an improvement. The bottom flap folds out, upgrading both the length and relaxation, so you can use it as a chair and a mattress pad (the 8mm high-density EVA foam is plenty for a comfortable night). My friends might wake up with back pains, but with this chair I can sleep and lounge in head-to-toe comfort. Packing up is a breeze, too, because the 70D ripstop nylon sluffs off dirt in one quick shake. Whether it’s camping, music festivals, cookouts, or theater in the park, having a Crazy Creek handy at all times means never being without a seat. Five different styles available at crazycreek.com; $95.
