Review: RuRoc LITE Helmet
As someone who recently made the jump from cross-country to downhill skiing, I’ve worn my fair share of clunky, beat-up, and uncomfortable rental helmets. But after finally committing to a Bridger season pass, I figured it was time to invest in something that would make my days on the mountain as enjoyable as possible.
Enter the LITE Helmet from RuRoc. I went with the Core color, and right out of the box, I loved the look—matte black, clean lines, and just enough detail to look sharp without being flashy, because the last thing I want while getting my bearings is extra attention.
My first impression was how comfortable this helmet is. It molds wonderfully to my head without squeezing, and the fit adjustment wheel makes it easy to fine-tune, even with gloves on. The removable, felt-lined ear pads are a game changer for those frigid, wind-whipping days, and the magnetic buckle can be snapped shut with one hand—even while on the move or with frozen fingers.
The helmet pairs seamlessly with the LITE Goggles, which offer a wide field of vision and never make me feel boxed in. Comfort aside, the LITE Core feels solid, durable, and gives me the confidence I need to carve, crash, and get back up again.
