Review: Arcade RECCO Belt

No longer an over-hyped innovation, nor a simple bullet point on a feature list, RECCO has gone mainstream in the outdoor industry. For those yet unaware, this passive transponder (the name is a portmanteau of "radar" and "echo") is a safety device that first appeared in ski jackets back in the '80s, and has slowly gained traction from there. Nowadays, though, it's everywhere, including the new RECCO Adventure Belt from Arcade.

Like our local, beloved Jelt Belts, Arcade belts are slim, sturdy, and stretchy, for a secure, streamlined fit. The low-profile, contoured buckle feeds easily through belt-loops and sits comfortably on your core. Great for all kinds of outdoor activities (hence the name), the Adventure Belt is at its very best on the slopes—and now, with two RECCO reflectors, it's even better.
