Do Your Duty
Volunteering at the Ice Fest.
Whether you’re an ice-climbing newbie or have been climbing ice for decades, missing the Bozeman Ice Fest isn’t an option. But you’re injured, or you’re new to town, or you aren’t familiar with Hyalite. How can you enjoy the festivities? Have no fear, and volunteer.
Volunteering at the festival gives you the opportunity to meet local climbers, network with industry insiders, and check out Hyalite with people who know the area. For a festival this large, organizers rely heavily on volunteers to successfully execute all the amazing events. So whether you’re registering athletes at the Urban Base Camp or assisting with logistics up Hyalite, they need you, and will reward you accordingly. All volunteers get free access to the festival, including the World Cup and North American Championships; gear demos from brands like Black Diamond, La Sportiva, and Patagonia; a swag bag; and more. Entrance to film screenings, climber presentations, and other evening happenings are also included. Stick around for the entire festival, or spend a few hours schmoozing with likeminded climbers—the time commitment is up to you.
After nearly two decades, the Ice Fest has become a proud Bozeman tradition. Make sure you’re there for the next chapter in ice-climbing history.
