Hannah Uhde

Hannah Uhde is a sixth generation Montanan whose creativity was sparked by her rural upbringing. As an honors graduate of Montana State University, she went on to study oil painting under Stass Paraskos at the Cyprus College of Art in 2009. Hannah obtained her MFA at the University of Northampton, earning the Bonarota Award for Excellence. While her passion for oil painting lies in the raw and gritty parts of the human figure, light and movement are essential to her work. Hannah produces a few solo exhibitions a year and has exhibited at the Paris Gibson Museum of Art and The Emerson Center for the Cultural Arts. She plays an active role in many non-profit organizations that support the arts, women in business, and environmental awareness. Hannah recently was named the featured artist for Kimpton’s Armory hotel in Bozeman, completing seven large scale paintings for the venue. Her life and artistic passion are deeply rooted in her love of Montana.
