Review: MTN Straps Collar & Leash

My golden retriever, Finn, has spent most of his life as a country pup, so he's not a big fan of wearing a collar. But when he does, I want it to be comfortable—and a little stylish, too.

When I started looking for a new dog-walking setup, the designs from MTN Straps immediately caught my eye. The colors are beautiful, and the artwork makes them stand out from anything else I've seen. I chose the Bridger Collar ($23), with large being the right size for Finn (70 lbs.). The collar is easy to adjust, and the six-foot Bridger Leash ($28) gives him the breathing room he wants when it's necessary to keep him close.

Beyond looks, these materials are built to last. The collar features premium YKK buckles, welded and powder-coated rings, and heavy-duty tri-glides for durability. I know it's comfortable because he doesn't scratch or shake his head when wearing it, like he has with other collars. And the leash is also built with quality hardware, making it easy to clip on & off without catching. The quick-drying material is great too, especially for a dog who loves to play in snow and splash in streams.

If you're looking for new walking gear that's durable, beautifully designed, and supports local artists, MTN Straps has several options that will look great on your pup. Just prepare yourself for all the compliments they'll receive. Available at mtnstraps.com.
