Review: Altra Timp 5

For years, I struggled to find the ideal trail running shoe—something lightweight, supportive, durable, and roomy enough for my feet to breathe. Then I found the Altra Timp 5’s. With a Vibram sole and sturdy build, these babies go for miles without sacrificing comfort. They offer more protection around the toes than most runners, so I’m not afraid to kick a rock or two along the way. And the wide toe box? Total game-changer. My piggies finally have all the breathing room they need.

This version of Timp’s features a Vibram sole, paramount for a stickier grip, especially on those late-spring trail runs. They are incredibly lightweight and dry fast when I tromp through puddles or get caught in the middle of a storm. All in all, these shoes strike a terrific balance between comfort and performance.
