Review: Camp Chef's Everest Stove

Cooking over an open fire is a romantic notion, but experience has proven that doing so usually results in burnt food served up with the tell-tale smell of singed arm hair and the painful sting of flame-licked flesh. Thankfully, I stumbled across the Everest Stove from Camp Chef. Just like I’d hoped for, the stove is lightweight (12 lbs) and compact without sacrificing quality. Its regulator is connected directly to a standard disposable propane cylinder, so the first push of the matchless ignition system fires up both high-pressure BTU burners right away. Fully adjustable heat-control dials allow for individual heating adjustments, meaning you can completely shut off one or both burners, or open ‘em both up for a scorching 40,000 BTUs. The Camp Chef has been my main cook stove on several multi-person/multi-day camping trips, and overall I’ve been very impressed with its power and efficiency.
