Review: 5.11 Egor Pouch
At some point, carrying small items around in zip-locks gets old. A quality pouch is not only more convenient, but it keeps your stuff secure. Having become a bit of a purse aficionado, I came across the 5.11 Egor Pouch Lima and knew exactly what it would be good for: a secondary shotgun bag. You see, Montana teems with game, and hunting seasons overlap. So when you're out chasing pheasants, say, you want to keep a few duck & goose loads on hand, a couple turkey rounds, maybe even some buckshot, in the off-chance that you encounter those species, too. You also might need to change out a choke. The Egor has elastic loops just the right size for shotgun shells, plus a few pockets for tucking away choke wrenches. A grab-handle and exterior mesh pocket add to the pouch's versatility, meaning that come summertime, it might just become my fishing pouch when backpacking to alpine lakes. Available at 511tactical.com; $50.
