Review: Korkers River OPS
I’ve fished small creeks with steep, slippery slopes for years. My old wading boots fit well, but the felt soles were not ideal for hiking through a variety of rocky, difficult terrain, and once wet they filled with water and the hike turned into a squishy slog.
When I tried on Korkers River OPS, I thought I was about to go for a rocket ride to the moon. The boots have internal channels allowing water to flow out of midsole ports, making the boots much lighter and easier to maneuver. Additionally, the interchangeable outsole helps reduce the spread of invasive species. Available online; $260.
