Review: Himali Eclipse Sun Hoodie
I spend a lot of time on the water, and while I enjoy a good sun tan as much as the next guy, there comes a point where UV defense is a must. For me, Himali’s Eclipse Sun Hoodie checks all the boxes. It’s paper thin and breathable, wicks moisture easily, shields against strong rays, and is silky smooth for optimal comfort. With the Eclipse, instead of layering sunscreen every few hours and reapplying every time I jump in the water, I can spend all day in the sun without needing more than a couple drops of sunblock for my face. If things get real bad, the hood wraps snugly around my head and protects the tips of my ears. I’ll use it year-round, too, wearing it equally as much up in the alpine as I will in the river bottoms. Available at himali.com; $80.
