Review: Fusion 3/2 Puffy

In Montana, I like having a heavy layer nearby for nine out of the 12 months of the year. Since I got my hands on Skwala's Fusion 3/2 Puffy, I've hardly taken it off. Made from polyester—one of my favorite types of fabrics—the jacket is loaded with insulation at its core (90g) providing protection against cold temps and winds, but thins to 60g in the arms allowing me to stay maneuverable no matter the conditions. The Fusion 3/2 is smooth, stretchy, and light. I'll wear it as an outer layer on blustery days and a mid-layer when the rain won't stop. With three large zippered pockets (two at the hip and one on the chest), there's ample room for storing keys, gloves, or extra gear. For anglers looking to stay on the water when the mercury drops, the Fusion 3/2 Puffy is a great option. And I don't say that lightly. Available online; $299.
