Join Sacajawea Audubon and the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve to celebrate World Wetlands Day 2025. National Geographic Explorer and wildlife biologist-turned-conservation photographer Ronan Donovan will host this year’s event in honor of the theme, “Protecting Wetlands For Our Common Future.”

Following Donovan’s keynote, Commissioner Jennifer Boyer will moderate a panel of special guests explaining how local codes and ordinances can be used to protect our wetland areas and to save us all. Panelists include Jeannette Blank with Montana Freshwater Partners, Nick Ross with the City of Bozeman, and Nathan Green with the Army Corps of Engineers.

Be sure to visit the Emerson Ballroom beginning at 6pm to enjoy food and drink while you learn how you can get involved in local wetland restoration projects with partners including Trout Unlimited, the Gallatin River Task Force, Montana Watershed Coordination Council, and more.

Gather once more from 1 to 3 on Sunday for a campfire, s'mores, and snowshoe tour of the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve.
