Art of the State
Nothing makes for a more pleasant summer evening than strolling the streets, glass of vino in-hand, scoping out inspired works of art. Yep, art walks have become as much of a Montana mainstay as fly fishing and floating the river. Here’s what’s happening this season.
The Bozeman art walks occur on the second Friday of each month, downtown from 6-8pm, beginning in June and ending in September. This year, the Children’s Museum is in on it, so bring the kids.
Willow Creek offers its art walk on the third Friday of each month from 5-9pm, June 17 to September 16. There are three galleries (and an art-filled fire hall) plus a jam session, so come on down for some small-town, old-fashioned fun.
Livingston’s art walks are on the fourth Friday of each month, 5:30-8:30pm, from June 24 to September 23. This event boasts 14 galleries through three stoplights and has been featured in National Geographic Traveler and Western Design Interiors. livinstongalleries.com.
