Boating Beverage
Like most fishermen, I happen to enjoy a frosty barley pop while engaging in my favorite pastime. However, I was recently informed that my penchant for domestic suds is somewhat pedestrian. So I did what any man would do: I asked my wife what to drink.
Her answer was simple and appealing: York Island Iced Tea—refreshing, tasty, and just a little bit of kick. Perfect for hot days on the river.
What you’ll need:
1 shot peach schnapps
2 shots Willie’s Bighorn Bourbon or similar
18-20 oz. fresh-brewed iced tea
1 tbsp. honey
1 lemon wedge
Mix the schnapps, whiskey, honey, and tea in a 24-oz. water bottle. Toss the bottle in the bottom of the cooler and cover with ice. After a long day on the water, scoop a handful of ice into a 12-oz. jar or camp cup, and garnish with a lemon wedge. Shake the water bottle 1-6 times to mix. Pour over ice. Enjoy!
