Review: Jelt Belt

The Jelt Belt is an ideal piece of gear, although calling it gear might be a bit of a misnomer as it is just as practical around town as it is on the trail. The belt is simple yet highly functional; its elastic design is lightweight and comfortable, and I never noticed the flat plastic buckle. When I go backcountry skiing, the waistline on my ski pants usually stretches due to my body’s movement. The Jelt Belt keeps my pants from sliding down, thus eliminating a frustrating distraction and allowing me to stay in rhythm on the skintrack. I also used the Jelt last fall for biking and hiking, and plan on using it year-round for all my high-output mountain activities. Available at Girls Outdoors. $30; jeltbelt.com.
