The otherwise sleepy mountain town of Red Lodge bustles twice a year. In the summer, hikers and fishermen roll through on their way to the rugged Beartooth Mountains, and tourists stop for a bite before heading up and over the scenic Beartooth Pass. Winter brings skiers and snowboarders to the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain. For more information, visit the Red Lodge Chamber website.

Red Lodge is an awesome little town that sits right below the massive Beartooth mountains and is full of things to do. Whether you want to ski, hike, kayak, mountain bike, or climb you will find an adventure. In the summer, I personally enjoy driving to Red Lodge early in the morning, shuttling a mountain bike ride on the Palisades trail near Red Lodge Mountain Resort, then hopping in my kayak and getting some afternoon laps on the west fork of Rock Creek. There is also some unknown granite bouldering around Red Lodge that is worth the adventure, and you can always keep driving to the top of the Beartooth pass and find some late season skiing.

What's your take?

So, what do you REALLY think?
