Review: Princeton Tec Remix Headlamp
Like the hand-held flashlight before it, which reached its evolutionary apex with the once-ubiquitous Mini Maglite (aka, MiniMag), the modern headlamp seems to grow smaller and lighter while still providing maximum light output. One notable instance of this progression is the Princeton Tech Remix, a small yet powerful headlamp that pumps out a bright 70 lumens in a respectably small housing. Three 5mm LEDs and one Maxbright Rebel LED provide both long-distance spotting and close-range area light. What’s more, the Remix does all this with 200 hours of burntime, so you don’t always have to pack extra batteries along. Available at Powder Horn. $40; princetontec.com.
