Review: OtterBox Core Series

If you’re anything like me, you drop, throw, step on, or somehow break your phone when you clumsily move through life. But unfortunately, most protective phone cases are made with bulky, unsustainable plastics that can’t be recycled. So when I learned that the OtterBox Core Series is made from 50% recycled materials and is fully-recyclable itself, while still offering top-notch protection, I knew I’d found the right case for me. Not only is this case protective; it’s also designed to work with wireless-charging accessories. The case feels sturdy, while still fitting in my back pocket comfortably. No two cases in this series look exactly alike, as ground-up plastic flakes add a “confetti” pattern to give each case a unique appearance and a grippy texture. Available online; $60.

If you’re looking to upgrade your phone’s protection even further, check out OtterBox’s Alpha Glass screen protector. $45.
