Review: Watershed Mississippi Duffel
Last fall, I borrowed a friend’s Watershed Mississippi duffel for a float trip, and immediately knew it was just a matter of time ’til I had one of my own. This behemoth of a bag fits 111 liters of gear. That’s enough space to store a rolled sleeping pad, a rifle, a loaded hunting pack, and muck boots—everything a man needs for a week on the water. In terms of a closure system, the bag features Watershed’s signature press-to-seal gasket, which waterproofs the bag better than any roll-top dry bag out there. On top of that, numerous D-loops and webbing straps on the exterior make it easy to lash the duffel to a raft. There aren't any other frills to speak of—just a durable, do-it-all, high capacity river bag. After all, there's a reason Watershed is a household name amongst boaters these days. Available at drybags.com; $323.
