Review: Petzl Dart
For as long as most climbers can remember, if you wanted crampons for multiple purposes, you bought several pairs—and dropped loads of cash on them. Petzl changes that with the Dart's interchangeable front points. Depending on configuration, the Dart works great for tackling ice in Hyalite, dry-tooling a gnarly mixed route, kicking up a steep couloir, or walking across a glacier—the modular design allows for an easy transition to the points that suit the mission. Available at Uphill Pursuits; $250.
