Review: MSR Reactor Stove System

I’ve always complained about the weight of all the water bottles I have to pack into the backcountry, and to make matters worse, I tend to deplete my supply quicker than anticipated. These problems have been solved by the kickass Reactor Stove System from MSR. This compact and lightweight backpacking stove boils one liter of water in under two minutes, allowing me to refill my bottles quickly and cook delicious, piping-hot meals wherever the trail takes me. And one eight-ounce canister boils over 22 liters, so I can go longer between buying gas canisters. Available at Northern Lights, Bob Ward’s, ProLite, and Timber Trails. $160; cascadedesigns.com
