Review: Deep Creek Chest Pack

The Fishpond Deep Creek Chest Pack solves many of the problems I’ve had with previous chest packs. The front pouch opens to a full 90 degrees so I can find the right fly, and the foam storage pad is attached with Velcro so I can have different flies on interchangeable foam pads for different seasons or even rivers. There's more storage for extra fly boxes, tippet, leader, and everything else for a day on the river. I also like how easy the chest pack is to get on and off, and the straps adjust easily to accommodate the layers of clothing I may have on for the weather. My only complaint is that I was unable to secure my rod to the pack so I could change flies while I was in the middle of the river.
