My son was more than happy to test out the Floyd sleeping bag with the Insulated Air Core sleeping pad by Big Agnes. Built for teens not yet ready for grown-up mummies, this bag features 600-fill goose down and is good to 15 degrees. He liked all the features: the neck warmer, the built-in pillowcase, and the integrated mattress holder so you don’t slide off. As a bonus, the 2.5-inch mattress is insulated so it doesn’t get cold like a normal foam pad. Since he tosses and turns at night, he had some trouble getting out of the hole at the top come morning—it ended up in a completely different spot from where he left it the night before. Available at Round House and Northern Lights. $240 and $60; bigagnes.com.
