Haven Jacket

This coat rocks. There, I’ve said it. I honestly couldn’t find a thing I would change on it. It’s crazy warm, insulated without being puffy, and stylish to boot. The Haven is an updated version of an East Coast toggle coat for prepsters. It fits snugly, so at first I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to wear a sweater underneath, but I quickly realized I didn’t need one—this coat keeps me warm on its own. It’s also water resistant for the sleet-like snow of early season. The most attractive thing about this coat is that it acts like a hard-core ski jacket, but looks like a sophisticated overcoat you can also wear out at night. The arms and hood have elastic bands to keep the chill out of your neck and sleeves. Hands down my new favorite thing. $189; merrell.com.
