The Skier's Prayer
Snow gods forgive me
For I have lusted
After your supple powdery pillows
Know that I have parted
Your perfect drifts
With skis unwaxed
And my edges grippeth not
For I have failed to file them.
Gods lead me not
Into total gearheadedness
But forgive me my faceplants
For thine is the ski bum paradise
Thigh-deep powder,
And crystal bliss forever and ever.
Ah, man!
