The Custer-Gallatin National Forest is Bozeman's big backyard. It encompasses 1.8 million acres and is home to six mountain ranges, including the Bridgers, Bangtails, Gallatin, and Madison Ranges, as well as the Lee-Metcalf and Absaroka-Beartooth Wildernesses. Known for its blue-ribbon trout streams and abundant wildlife, CGNF harbors countless recreational opportunities for adventure-seekers in the northern Rockies.

Amazing place, I spend 90% of my outdoor time there. Just went grouse-hunting a few days ago and flushed 5 blues!
