Review: GSI Pinnacle Dualist

Convenience is king these days, and it doesn’t get much more convenient than the Pinnacle Dualist cooking system from GSI, especially if you backpack in pairs. The Dualist includes two bowls, two insulated mugs, two folding sporks (which are quite flimsy—I recommend packing something sturdier), and a strainer lid, all of which fits inside the 1.8-liter pot. The whole package packs down to the size of an under-inflated volleyball and weighs 1.35 lbs. Divided between two people, it makes for a lightweight backpacking option. The pot is made of nonstick material, making cleanup a breeze, and GSI even thought to include sipping tops for the mugs. The unit also comes with a carrying case that doubles as a sink.
