Review: Yakima RoadShower 4G
When roaming the hot, dusty prairie in search of game, water’s a scarce resource that runs out quickly—especially with a bird dog in tow. For a spare, out-of-the-way supply, with the luxury of a quick shower, spraying dirty dishes, or rinsing off a rib cage, Yakima’s RoadShower 4G ($499) sure comes in handy. Lash it to the roof rack, fill it up, pressurize it, and off you go—with four extra gallons of water, heating itself up under the hot prairie sun. Larger options (7G, 10G) are available for larger groups and longer trips.
In the spring and fall, and for non-hunters, the RoadShower is also great when camping, fishing, biking, or climbing, particularly on overnighters and multi-day outings. Spray off your wading boots, wash the mud from your ride, or rinse off the dog so he doesn't get the tent all muddy. Take it along on one Moab bike trip, where water is scarce, and you'll never travel without it again.
