No more heel lift! Say goodbye to heel wedges, J-bars, C-bars, or any other special insole and hello to the Passage snowboard boot from K2. The Passage comes with the Boa Closure System, which helps distribute even pressure across the top of your foot and up the ankle. The real magic is that K2’s new Conda liner holds your heel in place and tightens with the simple tug on the side lacing system. No more tightening my boots until my feet go numb or stuffing so much foam I can’t wiggle my toes. I did have concern on the stiffness of the boot, but once I was on the mountain I found them to be comfortable and warm, plus the medium flex was great for all-mountain riding. Be sure to try on a couple different sizes; I went a half-size smaller and found the fit to be perfect. $250; k2snowboarding.com.
